1.1.1: Widgets open the right app

Nate Wren

This is a small update, but it fixes a pretty annoying bug.

You can set a Theme Studio widget to open any app when you tap it. Point it at Spotify, tap it, and you should land in Spotify. Some of you were landing in Theme Studio instead.

It turned out to be an iOS rule. When you tap a widget, iOS always opens the app that made the widget first. The widget can ask to go somewhere else, but it starts in its own app. So a Theme Studio widget pointed at Spotify opened Theme Studio, and stopped there.

To fix it, Theme Studio now opens for a split second, sees where you were headed, and sends you on your way. It shows a plain black screen while it does that, so you don't see the app flash by.

Widgets that are supposed to open Theme Studio, like the ones that jump to a theme, work the same as before.

If one still opens the wrong thing, tap Send Feedback in Settings and tell me which app it was set to open.
